My name is Naomi. I am a mother of 8 children. I am part Native American. I grew up being taught our native ways. We use the land for food and herbal medicines. I was told that we honor and respect nature and people. We love others as our own. I was taught about herbs and oils, and the benefits they have. We thank each plant, flower & herb as we gather it. We thank Mother Nature for aiding us and give thanks for our yearly harvests. We also give thanks for our foods.
There is an herb, flower or oil for almost any health issue. There is something for most bites, stings, burns, wounds, sickness, hygiene , and beauty! If you get a cut while hiking, there are common wild plants that act as a bandaid and some even have antibiotic properties. I could write book after book to explain about herbal remedies. I have practiced our ancient ways since I was a little. I learned how to make health, beauty, hygiene, and full body care since I was a child. Little by little I learned. Learning in this world is never ending, so I am still learning.
I make herbal remedies for my home during sick seasons. One of my children had a hand-foot-mouth rash & I made an ointment that cleared it up fast! One of my daughters had a bad case of cradle cap and her hair struggled to grow. I was able to clear the cradle cap and thicken her hair with an ___. My culture believes that you should use natural products and live off the land. I was taught how to achieve that as a child and still hold onto our ways as an adult. We were gifted herbs, flowers, plants, trees, and shrubs. Why not use them to help heal our mind, body, and spirit? Why not use them to keep our beauty and help with our hygiene? Why not use them to help us stay healthy and not have so many factory chemical products? Olden ways and ancient remedies, all natural is the way to go!!!I love to pass all my knowledge to my children, and hope they keep our traditions alive.
I make candles, wax melts, soaps, deodorants, salves, ointments, lotions, and more for my home. I like to say I can make most things related to health, beauty, and hygiene. Need a mask for your hair, face, body….. I can help with that and so much more!!!
